Central location for events, decent pub atmosphere, late check-out option
No hot water in the room!!! Peeling wallpaper and holes in walls were glaring!!! Thin curtains let too much light in, making it hard to sleep!!! Continuous noise from nearby alarms was also annoying!!! Unclean items found in the bed were unsettling!!!

More fun than I expected!
What a delightful surprise! The friendly bar staff created a welcoming atmosphere after an exciting gig in town. The clean and comfortable room featured a later checkout at noon, a fantastic perk. While extra amenities could elevate the experience, the lively local vibe makes it a memorable stay.

The old building has some charm, with its unique architecture and historic character adding a bit of a vibe. The location near a bustling pub scene can be seen as a plus for nightlife lovers looking for a lively atmosphere.
Instead of the anticipated two beds, we were shown a cramped single, with an odd explanation about overbookings across different platforms. the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. floors felt gritty and the window situation was less than ideal, having trouble shutting properly due to a poor state of maintenance. Noise from the pub below added to the overall disturbance, which might not suit those desiring a quiet retreat. If you value comfort and a good night’s sleep, it could fall short.

friendly staff but rooms need attention
The staff were exceptionally welcoming, making me feel right at home. The pub's atmosphere was lively and enjoyable, enhancing my overall experience.
The room itself left much to be desired in terms of upkeep.

Had a lovely stay! 🤗 The highlight was definitely the friendliest assistant manager, Steph, who went above and beyond for us. The room was decent but could use some updates. a good spot for a night out.

During my stay, I appreciated that the bed was comfortable and the room had a kettle, making it easy to relax after a day of strolling around the nearby attractions like the George Formby Statue just a short walk away and the vibrant Galleries Shopping Centre close by, giving me plenty of options to explore the city on foot.

Consider asking for a room away from the bar area to reduce noise disturbances during your stay.

Charming Stay with Room for Improvement!
We enjoyed a cozy night in the double room, perfect for couples. Although parking and breakfast could enhance the experience, the affordability makes it worth it. For sports fans, check out the atmosphere at the nearby Real Crafty for a lively evening!

The room's lack of windows was somewhat offset by the hospitality and the bonus of a late check-out at noon. Pricing was a bit inflated due to a local event, but the overall experience was memorable.

We got a twin room instead of a family room, but it was fine since there were just two of us. The room was clean and had lots of toiletries, which was a nice touch. No windows, though, so that was a bit odd. The shower pressure was phenomenal, and the late check-out was a bonus. But honestly, for the gig night, the prices were pretty high, considering everything.

Just a fitting option for a quick weekend visit in Wigan with great value for money. The bed was comfortable enough for a solid night's sleep after the rugby match.
